Step One: Choose Your Material

  • Bamboo

Step Three: Choose Your Size

Many traditional and even contemporary Tibetan rugs feature figures of animals and dragons. These bold rugs can be found throughout the region. If you would like to order a figurative rug, we would be happy to provide you with figurative pictures of either traditional or more modern designs. Choose one from us, or create your own.

Below are some common rug sizes, but we can create the rug of your dreams in any size and shape you want.

The date of the first Tibetan rugs is not known. But the art of creating hand-knotted rugs is thought to date back many hundreds to thousands of years. Traditional designs can be paired with wool (the material that has been used since the inception of the Tibetan rugs) or you can have a traditional design made using a different material (banana, bamboo, hemp, silk, or nettle).

For your contemporary rug, we can make the design of your choosing. We can also make suggestions such as having varying thicknesses, or a combination of softer and more textured materials, which feel great and are also visually compelling.
